There are swarms of Gyro helicopters out there, but there's also a lot of bad ones. We've tested the heck out of most of them and the Nighthawk Gyro stands head and shoulders (or blades) above the rest. It's achingly easy to fly, and the gyro stabiliser means that it hovers perfectly, without spiralling round and round the way many of its predecessors did. Easy forward and back motion, slick and super-sharp left and right turns, coupled with the epic remote control design, allows for smooth and reactive flight. Within minutes you'll be flying it around with precision accuracy, loudly mouth-trumpeting your best rendition of the airwolf theme tune and buzzing anyone within distance. Add in the front facing white LED lights, and the fear on your targets face is beautifully illuminated. Although we think the lights are actually there to make night flight a doddle.
With 6-8 minutes of joy inducing flight, there's enough time to let everyone have a go, and when it's charge finally caves in, you can either re-juice it via the remote, or (and how cool is this) use the USB cable to charge it via your computer.
This helicopter is the PERFECT first helicopter, and even if you, or the lucky recipient, classes themselves as an intermediate flyer, it still provides hours of fun.
