Now normally we wouldn't recommend naming your product after a creature responsible for generations of human misery, illness and death. However, as is the case of the Micro Mosquito, an incredible miniature RC helicopter, we'll turn a blind eye to its malaria-carrying ancestry and bow down in grateful praise.

It's the world's smallest fully functioning RC helicopter - in fact, it's so small you can take off and land from the palm of your hand. And, after refusing to settle for the standard single-rotator spec, the techy whiz-kid designers behind the Micro Mosquito have blessed it with a princely pair of counter-rotating blades. All of which means that this whirling wonder is more stable than a houseful of horses and capable of more jaw-dropping manoeuvres than a Jedi at a ventriloquist conference.

Weighing just 15g, this bug-like machine also boasts a fantastically spooky pair of green LED lights (perfect for scaring the cleaner when you stay behind for some "overtime"), as well as a twin-toggle, digital proportional transmitter for precision flying and a launch pad that doubles as a charger. After just 45 minutes on terra firma you'll be ready to soar back into the clouds for over seven minutes of full-on fun.
