That's nuts isn't it? But it's true, Nite Glowrings employ specialised technology that's used in advanced military hardware or pioneering safety equipment where a guaranteed light source is needed in hazardous environments and conditions. Now most of us are fortunate enough not to live in particularly hazardous environments (until another riot kicks off at any rate), but that doesn't mean we can't get to play with toys that are developed for it. There's probably no better key ring in the world than this one in our opinion. As well as being useful on your keys, they're ideal for attaching to tent zips so you can always find them in the dark, to fishing kit, back packs you name it. I've even got one attached to my dog's collar so I can see him at night when taking him for his evening constitutional.

How do they work? Inside each GlowRing’s polycarbonate case is a 3mm diameter laser sealed glass tube called a Gaseous Tritium Light Source (GTLS.) The inside of this tube is coated with phosphor. The electrons in the gaseous tritium excite the phosphor causing it to glow continuously without any external power source.

How long will it last? Between 10-20 years depending on how well you look after it.

How Glowy is it? In complete darkness it can be seen from up to 30 feet away, in daylight it looks quite normal.

Will it make me glow in the dark? No.
