Product Description

Contrary to what many people claim, Leonardo Da Vinci didn't actually invent the catapult, but he did improve the original considerably. The invention prize should go to the Greeks (along with the Greek salad prize) who trumped up the idea around 338BC. Anyway patronising history lesson over, this "much improved" catapult wreaked havoc on many who stood before it (or indeed on it I would imagine), and whilst this version is somewhat scaled down from the original, we see no reason why you shouldn't let loose the dogs of war on your fellow workers by flinging mini balls of clay (modelling clay provided) at your enemy up to 15 feet away. Of course pelting the enemy with little balls of clay is fun, but we found building the thing in the first place was equally enjoyable.

Based on a combination of two of Leonardo's drawings, the kit comes with everything you need to build it, including glue, and a little bit of info about the great man himself. It's a fascinating lesson in mechanics and engineering, but most of all it's a great way of laying siege to the account department.
